Two Day Traditional Leather Crafting Course: 11th & 12th September
Course dates: 11th and 12th September.
Set in a beautiful Hampshire village, this two day leather course is ideal for complete beginners or those looking to gain new skills in the art of traditional leather crafting.
Throughout the course, you gain an insight into leather types, the working craft and the ancient art of leather tanning.
You will be provided with your very own starter leather tool kit and, with your new tools, you will have the choice of making one bag or two accessories from a verity of designs.
No prior leatherwork experience is needed as you will learn all the core leatherwork skills plus additional techniques that are relevant to the more complex process of leather bag making.
The course includes fresh home-made cake, tea and a buffet lunch at the local pub.
You will leave the course with your new tool kit having made your very own bag using high quality vegetable tanned leather and metal fixings, made by hand from start to finish.
The course is limited to maximum number of four people to ensure you get the very best hands on learning experience.
